Challenging Kenyan Pastors to Go Cross-Cultural

Some 240 pastors and church leaders attended the Discover Missions Leadership Conference in Makutano, Kenya.  It was a privilege and lots of fun to be a part of this historical meeting.  For three days, Kenyan Baptist pastors and church leaders were challenged to cooperate together and send out Kenyan missionaries to the regions beyond.
The conference was organized by Dr. Richard Lewis of LCCTI, placing the emphasis on crossing culture, language, and geographic boundaries with the message of the Gospel.  Please pray for these men and the churches of Kenya that they will rise to the challenge.

Camp Connection Ministry

We are grateful for another fruitful camp season. 1,605 campers and volunteers attended the three camps in December with over 400 youth making a life-changing decision to receive Christ as Savior. Pray for our local churches as we follow up each decision and seek to disciple those who are come to know the Savior.

Training Leaders for Today and Tomorrow

Several times each year we bring together our national pastors and missionaries for teaching, training, and fellowship. It is always a joy to meet with these men and invest in their lives and ministries. Then we bring our Class Two Bible school students together for a concentrated weekend of teaching and accountability for their service and leadership in the local church. These are the leaders of today and tomorrow. These are the faithful men of 2 Timothy 2:2 in whom we are investing our time, energy and resources so that they may faithfully teach others.

I Surrender All

We witnessed another great victory in our September missions conference at the Dar es Salaam city church. Along with a great Faith Promise Offering, we were blessed to see God working in the life of one of our long-time members. Peter Kitang'wa, with his wife Rachel and daughter Mary, answered the call to plant a church in the growing community of Kigamboni. Please pray for this young family as they step out in faith and follow God's leading in their life.

Special Guests From Our Sending Church

Pastor Phil Housley and his wife Stephanie recently visited with a group of 12 from our sending church, Park Crest Baptist Church of Springfield, Missouri. We had a great time introducing them first-hand to the various ministries that we are involved in here in Tanzania.
